Getafe Chairman confirmed the plan to buy out Mason Greenwood

Angel Torres, president of Getafe, admitted that the Spanish team could negotiate to buy striker Mason Greenwood from MU.

Striker Mason Greenwood left MU and landed at Getafe on loan in the 2023 summer market. After a period of integration, he began to show his abilities. Up to now, he has scored 4 goals in 13 appearances for the Spanish team.

According to revelations from The Athletic, if MU sells Greenwood to a team other than Getafe, this club will receive 20% of the transfer fee. In case Getafe recruits Greenwood, they will only have to pay 80% of this fee.

Most recently, Angel Torres, president of Getafe, admitted that the Spanish team could negotiate to buy striker Mason Greenwood from MU. He said: “We are very happy with what he is doing, he has shown that he is a good striker.

“There are people who didn't even believe that Greenwood would come, but instead, he is playing here, and we are still continuing to work with MU. The English team is satisfied with what is happening with Greenwood at Getafe. We need to continue to protect Greenwood.

I think he will play better and better here. Greenwood will contribute a lot to our team. We are evaluating all possibilities, including a buyout, but it is still too early."
